Walter Gehrig
Who am I
I live with my family in our house in Adliswil near Zurich. I love nature, water and describe myself as a bon vivant. I’m interested in different cultures, I love meeting new people and I often have hour-long discussions about life and the world, often with a good glas of wine and a cigar – preferably in Ticino or in Bali. Reading, cooking, hiking, swimming, beach & pool, discover new ideas – that’s what I like to do in my free time.
My story
Based on an apprenticeship as a mechanic, I made my way through several development steps up to a BSc. in Business Administration. After more than 20 years in various management positions in marketing, sales and management in medium-sized and large Swiss SMEs, I decided to become self-employed in 2011. With the desire to pass on the knowledge I have gained and my enthusiasm for business development and optimizing profitability as a sparring partner and supporter. In doing so, I build on my broad experience in the B2B and B2C sectors, with producers and retailers, with consumer goods and services, with regional, national and global activities.
What am I doing
The focus of my mandates is on optimizing the business model with regard to higher profitability and the exploitation of potential. This is thanks to comprehensive knowledge of the development and implementation of growth strategies, the systematization of processes and the automation of recurring processes. For more sales – more profit – more independence.
I work very closely with my clients, support them in implementing the defined activities and ensure success through my success-based fee system.
I was able to co-author the successful guide “Tips for SMEs – basic knowledge for running a company” (ISBN 978-3-85820-316-8).
